18-year-old charged after attempted escape from Berks youth detention facility

Three inmates breached an exterior door and perimeter fence at a juvenile detention center; one 18-year-old was charged as an adult, police said.

An 18-year-old inmate of Abraxas Academy has been charged with escape as the result of an attempted jailbreak last week at the Morgantown-area juvenile detention center.
