2 Workers Seriously Injured in an Explosion at Oil Refinery Near Athens, Officials Say
On Friday, two workers were seriously injured during an explosion at the Motor Oil refinery in Agioi Theodoroi, approximately 60 kilometers west of Athens, Greece.
Following the blast, the two injured workers were initially hospitalized in Corinth but were later moved to a specialized burns treatment unit at a hospital in Athens.
A maintenance supervisor is being questioned by police as their investigation into the incident gets underway. The explosion occurred during extensive maintenance work at the facility.
