150 Firefighters Are Battling a Forest Fire in Carinthia

After a forest fire broke out on Tuesday on the Taborhöhe hill east of Lake Faak (Villach-Land district), firefighting operations continued on Wednesday, fire department spokesman Thomas Warmuth told APA. Overnight, firefighters successfully prevented the five- to six-hectare fire from spreading using sprinkler systems. The firefighting operation was restarted at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday with 150 firefighters and a helicopter.
