13-year-old in Oroville shot and killed, juvenile suspect arrested

A juvenile has been arrested after a 13-year-old was shot and killed in Oroville on Tuesday and his body was abandoned in a field. An abandoned stolen vehicle was found by the Oroville Police Department that day and detectives believed that a shooting had taken place inside the vehicle so they contacted the Butte County Sheriff's Office around 2 p.m. Detectives identified the victim as Amadeus Miller-Ramos and determined that four juveniles were inside the stolen vehicle while one was manipulating a firearm, the release said. The firearm was discharged once and after a bullet hit MIller- Ramos, the other juveniles in the car placed his body in the field.
