KUALA LUMPUR: 1,211 hotspots were detected across the southern Asean region based on National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) satellite imagery analysed by the Asean Specialised Meteorological Centre (ASMC) in Singapore on Saturday (Aug 29).
