- After a positive Listeria monocytogenes result from a third-party laboratory, FSIS and Suzanna's Kitchen announced a recall of chicken produced at the Georgia site.
- Lot code 60104 P1382 287 5 J14 and establishment number P-1382 identify 10-pound cases of fully cooked grilled chicken breast fillets with rib meat shipped to distribution centers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Ohio.
- As of Jan. 16, there have been no confirmed reports of illness tied to the recalled products, and FSIS urged foodservice locations to discard or return items, calling 888-674-6854 with questions.
- Listeria poses heightened risks for vulnerable groups and can cause serious infections in young children, elderly people, pregnant women and those with weakened immune systems, with symptoms appearing within three to 70 days.
