On the afternoon of November 24, 2025, 119 people were evacuated from the Maternal and Child Hospital, located in the third phase of Río, due to a small fire in the hospital's kitchen area, caused by welding repairs. Of those evacuated, 84 were hospital staff, 61 were patients, and 9 were visitors, according to the Municipal Civil Protection agency.
