- Nine people travelling in an SUV were burnt to death after their vehicle struck a truck, police confirmed. Fire tenders and rescue teams immediately launched relief operations at the site.
- Additional Director General Piyush Mordia confirmed the deaths and stated that rescue operations remain underway to recover the deceased and move the wreckage.
- A heavy police contingent and fire personnel remain deployed at the Dramanganj Valley site, where the truck was descending a slope before the crash. Efforts to move vehicles and recover bodies continue.
