108 Maoists Surrender in Chhattisgarh's Bastar; ₹3.61 Crore Cash, Gold Recovered

- On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, 108 Maoists surrendered across Bijapur, Dantewada, Sukma, Bastar, Narayanpur and Kanker in the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee area.
- Poona Margham outreach began in July 2025 and deployed surrendered cadres and District Reserve Guard/Bastar Fighters, while Rehabilitation to Rejuvenation programmes promised skill training, livelihoods and counselling.
- Among those who surrendered were named commanders including Rahul Telam, Pandru Kovasi, Jhitru Oyam, Ramdhar alias Biru, Mallesh, Commander Muchaki and Kosa Mandavi; six were divisional commanders with an eight lakh reward each and a collective Rs 3.29 crore bounty.
- Security forces seized 101 weapons, including AK-47s and barrel grenade launchers, plus Rs 3.61 crore in cash and 1 kg gold from the Indravati area, officials said.
- With 20 days left for the March 31, 2026, deadline, officials said Maoist ranks in Chhattisgarh are declining, with 2,714 cadres abandoning violence in 26 months.
