The Tragically Hip guitarist Paul Langlois joined fans in Kingston over the Forever Hip weekend as the city marked 10 years since the band’s final concert.

10 years after their final concert, The Hip returned to Market Square

Fans from around the country reunited in Kingston to hear Gord Downie sing his final lyric on stage one more time, just over 10 years after The Tragically Hip’s final performance. On Aug. 22 at 7 p.m., thousands were packed into Market Square in downtown Kingston, filling the square and spilling onto both Brock and King Streets. The eager attendees came together for a watch party of the CBC’s rebroadcast of The Tragically Hip’s final concert in Kingston, which took place on Aug. 20, 2016, as part of The Hip’s Man Machine Poem Tour following Gord Downie's cancer diagnosis.
