Westville to make Washrooms on the Main Floor of Town Hall Accessible

The town of Westville has found a contractor to make the washrooms on the main floor of Town Hall accessible. Council passed a motion to award the contract to Ridgemark Design and Construction Limited at a cost of just over $117,000. The money for the project is being provided through a grant to the town. Westville is moving forward with an application to the province’s Growth & Renewal of Infrastructure Development Fund (GRID) for engineering plans on a new water system. The search continues for a new source of water in Westville, but once a source has been identified, the design of the water system would go forward at a cost of roughly $144,000. A survey commissioned by Westville Town Council shows that citizens want something done about the deer population in town. 316 responses to the survey were received, with eighty percent feeling deer are a problem.
