Department of Justice · VirginiaROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) -- U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia Todd Gilbert resigned Wednesday, a little more than a month after he was sworn in. A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office told WFXR News he resigned effective 5 p.m. Aug. 20 and that Robert N. Tracci, First Assistant United States Attorney, assumed the role of Acting United States Attorney.
