The Lady Lions finished with 57 points, trailing only Brock (36), and finishing ahead of Stephenville (62), Glen Rose (82) and Mineral Wells (138). The top three teams and top 10 individuals move on to regionals.

Lady Lions, Lions qualify for regionals in cross country

Brown County, Texas · Brown CountyBrown County Treasurer Ann Krpoun has announced her retirement, effective December 31 of this year. In a letter to County Judge Shane Britton and the County Commissioners, Krpoun cited health concerns following two surgeries this year. Krpoun’s elected term of service runs through December 31, 2026. The County Commissioners will have to appoint someone to complete the term, serving from January 1 through December 31 of next year.

Brownwood · BrownwoodOn October 2nd, Dion White, CEO of Center for Life Resources, received the President’s Award from the Texas Chapter of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. He was also presented with a Texas flag that had been flown over the Texas State Capitol, given by Representative Drew Darby and the Texas House of Representatives, in recognition of his leadership and advocacy in IDD services across Texas.See the Story
