- Returning from parliament, the group included four colleagues who survived; Madalaboy Ndebele, Senator Rittah Ndlovu, Sethulo Ndebele, and Libion Sibanda were injured and taken to Gweru General Hospital.
- The Nkulumane constituency confirmed the death, expressing deep sorrow as Discent Bajila told Parliament the family has been informed and funeral arrangements are expected soon.
- Authorities have pledged investigations, with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development and Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority expected to examine the crash; advocates call for stronger safety measures along wildlife corridors.
