Nine Policemen Martyred, 15 Terrorists Killed in Ziarat Clearance Operation
Security forces cleared the area after the attack, killing 15 Fitna al-Khawarij militants and recovering one missing constable unharmed, officials said.
On Tuesday, security forces in Balochistan killed at least 15 terrorists from Fitna al-Khawarij during a joint clearance operation in Ziarat, following a deadly attack that resulted in 9 Balochistan Police martyrs.
Multiple agencies including the Frontier Corps , Balochistan Police, Counter-Terrorism Department , Special Operations Wing , and the Anti-Terrorist Force collaborated to clear the area of militant elements.
Among the casualties were the SHO of Mangi Police Station, SHO of Kawas Police Station, and ATF In-charge Head Constable Saifullah, while Constable Rizwan was recovered unharmed during the mission.
Bodies of the fallen officers were transported to District Headquarters Hospital Ziarat for post-mortem, as Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti declared, "The martyrs of Balochistan Police are saluted by the entire nation. Their sacrifices will never go in vain."
Adviser to the Chief Minister on Political and Media Affairs Shahid Rind asserted that intelligence-based operations against terrorism will continue until complete eradication, ensuring the writ of the state is maintained across Balochistan.
New armed attack on a checkpoint in the district of Ziarat: nine agents and 15 alleged attackers were killed in response operations. Suspects fall on the Liberation Army of Belucistan. Local Christian communities express closeness to the victims and denounce the climate of fear in which the population lives.
