While the Ukrainian President was meeting in New York with members of the US Congress to ask them to step up sanctions against Moscow, Russia violently attacked the Ukrainian capital on Thursday with some 20 ballistic missiles.
On Thursday, 24 September, Kiev suffered a new series of Russian strikes, killing at least two people. Ballistic missiles targeted civilian infrastructure while Volodymyr Zelensky met with American elected officials to demand tougher sanctions against Moscow.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia had struck ballistic missiles at Kiev when we discussed the “Lindsay Graham law” in a meeting with congressmen, which, in particular, concerns sanctions against Russia and “punitive duties” against buyers of Russian energy resources.
Two people died, and eight others were injured as a result of a Russian ballistic missile attack on Kiev on the night of 23 to 24 September. The attack took place while Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski is in New York, where he attends the UN General Assembly and talks with members of the United States Congress.
