23-year-old Swedish chemistry student Alexander H. has been sentenced to eight years in prison for planning a terrorist attack on the Eurovision Song Contest in Ahoy Rotterdam in 2020. He is eligible for early release after two years if he shows good behavior. The attack was thwarted by Luxembourg security services, who arrested him at the time.
The plan was to poison the audience and artists at the Eurovision final in 2020. But instead, the police struck down the now 23-year-old Swede. He has now been sentenced to eight years in prison in Luxembourg, six of which are suspended.
