The municipal elections make "an incredible difference to your everyday life," said VVD leader Dilan Yeşilgöz on Saturday in the center of Almere. She walked through the market there hoping to persuade voters to vote for her party in the elections this coming Wednesday. Local lead candidate Lesley van Hilten hopes that people will take the trouble to go vote, given that turnout in Almere during the last municipal elections was only 40 percent.
