- Coming out of the locker room up 50-23, Michigan rested starters more in the second half while Aday Mara finished with 11 points and eight rebounds.
- According to Sportradar, Michigan is the only team since 1995-96 to win six straight games by 25 points and is off to its best start since 11-0 five years ago.
- Villanova, which had won seven straight under first-year coach Kevin Willard prior to this loss, now 7-2, will host Pittsburgh Saturday with Devin Askew scoring 18 points, Christian Jeffrey 12, and Acaden Lewis 11.
