As the Legislative Council proceedings begin, Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah has been officially declared as the new Leader of the House by the interim Speaker Puttanna. TV9 had earlier also reported that since Yathindra Siddaramaiah is the only minister from the Legislative Council, he is almost certain to get the post of Leader of the House.
