Tennessee Sen. Ken Yager Pleads No Contest in Georgia DUI Case, Other Charges Dropped
Ken Yager pleaded no contest to DUI in Georgia, receiving probation, license suspension, and fines while hit-and-run and stop sign charges were dismissed, court records show.

- During a hit-and-run search in Glynn County, Georgia, troopers arrested Ken Yager on Dec. 3, 2024, after a bulletin for a Ford Edge with Tennessee plates went out.
- Troopers detected a strong odor of alcohol and recorded a BAC of 0.14, nearly double the 0.08 limit, and hit-and-run and failure to stop charges were dismissed.
- Acknowledging his mistake, Yager said, 'Throughout both my personal and professional life, I have sought to act with integrity and accountability,' in his Aug. 11 statement.
- Georgia law permits a no-contest plea once every five years, and Yager has served in the Tennessee Senate since 2008 representing nine Tennessee counties.
