Writer Cleonice Berardinelli, member of ABL, dies at 106
The writer Cleonice Berardinelli died last night at the age of 106, the longest-serving current member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters. She occupied chair number 8. Cleonice is considered one of the greatest references in Portuguese language studies, especially in Fernando Pessoa's work. She succeeded writer Antônio Olinto and took office in ABL in April 2010.
