Worry over wildfire destruction rising in Saskatchewan and across Canada

With 20 active wildfires raging in Saskatchewan as of May 26, anxiety is rising over what the fire season will bring and how much damage will be done. Of the fires currently burning, 10 are out of control. All are in the boreal forest region of the province. There have already been 200 wildfires in the province in 2025, an increase of 20 over the year by this time.
