BOONVILLE, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- The remains of a World War II veteran are finally coming home to Boonville on Thursday, after over 80 years overseas. Private Harland J. Hennessey will be heading to his final resting place on Thursday, August 21 after being identified by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency in Honolulu, Hawaii. BOONVILLE — People lined Main Street in the village Thursday night to welcome home the fallen soldier for whom the Boonville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5538 is named.
