World of Warcraft Forever Revealed by Blizzard, New Warcraft 3 Campaigns in the Works

  • Blizzard Entertainment officially announced World of Warcraft Forever at BlizzCon on Saturday, with the game scheduled to launch on Nov. 4, 2026.
  • Designed by the Classic team, this long-rumored project, colloquially known as "Classic+," exists in a "time bubble" set during the first year of the original World of Warcraft.
  • At launch, the game features a level 60 cap, three new zones, over 1,000 new quests, and a new Skyborne Elves race. Players can access 10 and 20 person raids and a new Battleground.
  • Blizzard's "Warcraft" chief Holly Longdale described the MMO as "easy to get into and play, and deep enough to stay forever." A beta launches next week on Sept. 17.
  • Players will level to 60 and remain at that cap indefinitely, with developers emphasizing that "it's the journey that counts, not the destination." This philosophy positions Warcraft Forever as a long-term community experience.
