World No. 1 Nelly Korda Not Among WTGL’s Season 1 Rosters
The 25-player field includes 41 LPGA titles, but only four of the top 10 Rolex Rankings players will compete.
On Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, the inaugural Women's TGL unveiled its five team rosters for the upcoming season, confirming 25 players; notably, world No. 1 Nelly Korda was not among the participants selected.
Founded by TMRW Sports in partnership with the LPGA, the WTGL will stage matches at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., launching in November with a regular season, single-elimination postseason, and best-of-three championship match.
Participating teams include Atlanta Drive Golf Club, Boston Common Golf, Los Angeles Golf Club, New York Golf Club, and Motor City Golf Club. Motor City's roster features major champions Brooke Henderson, Lexi Thompson, Jeeno Thitikul, Albane Valenzuela, and Ronni Yin.
Korda, who collected her third and fourth major titles in 2026, told Golfweek in January she was unsure about committing due to scheduling concerns. She expressed mixed feelings about the lack of mixed-gender competition but welcomed the opportunity to grow the game.
Only four of the top 10 players in the Rolex Rankings will participate when action begins in November at the SoFi Center. Teams will compete through December, aiming to create a thrilling new experience for women's golf while showcasing player personalities.
