World Hunger Day BBQ
World Hunger Day was on May 28, and to celebrate, the Whitecourt Food Bank, and generous sponsors Pembina Pipeline and Eagle River Casino, held a free barbeque on Saturday to help raise awareness about chronic hunger. Food bank staff handed out burgers and smokies from 11-3 as Pembina volunteers worked hard at the barbeque, keeping things rolling.
