World Cup Kicks Off at McDonald's: New Menu Items, Player-Inspired Collectible Cups and More

On Tuesday, McDonald's announced the FIFA World Cup 26 Meal campaign, launching in select markets Thursday, June 4 and globally by Tuesday, June 9, featuring limited-edition collectible cups and specialized menu items.
To unite global fans, the company partnered with soccer icons including David Beckham and Christian Pulisic, aiming to share food experiences and promotional keepsakes around the tournament.
Menu options include a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets served with gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce, plus one of nine collectible cups featuring global players and mascot Grimace.
Starting June 9, younger fans receive the FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meal, which includes one of 23 Squishmallows plushies kitted in tournament-inspired jerseys and official mascots.
Global Chief Marketing Officer Morgan Flatley stated the initiative allows McDonald's to bring shared joy to fans globally from the 'first whistle to the final minute' throughout the tournament.
