Per Mertesacker gave a short comeback in the jersey of his youth club almost 30 years after his departure from the TSV Pattensen on Friday evening. In the test game against his former club Hannover 96, the football world champion from 2014 showed that he is still in good shape despite his 40 years.
The former national player actually ended his active career in 2018. But Per Mertesacker has returned to the grass for a special game of his youth clubs.
