A Russian attack on a coal mine owned by Ukraine's largest energy company, DTEK, resulted in the death of one miner and injuries to three others. This attack, occurring near front lines in Donetsk, also caused significant damage to the mine's infrastructure and power outages.
The Russian military struck the DTEK mine, one staff member was killed and three others were wounded, as reported by the company ' s press service, the first report of an attack on the mine was written by the head of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine, Mikhail Volync, who said that the mines of the Donetsk region of the Goodpolsk community had been drained and 148 miners remained underground.
