St. Petersburg Bans Migrant Workers From Delivery Jobs
Nearly 50 Russian regions, including occupied territories in Ukraine, have introduced similar bans in various professions.
The Petersburg authorities have banned migrants from working as couriers and signed a decree to that effect by the head of the city of Alexander Beglov.
The Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, signed a decree prohibiting migrants from working as couriers in the city, reporting to the press. "The decision is aimed at combating shadow employment, improving the quality and safety of services in the courier sector and creating new jobs for Russian citizens, especially young people and students," the report states.
In three months, foreign nationals will cease to be couriers in St. Petersburg, following a decree signed by the Governor of the city, Alexander Beglov, dated 11 August, and published by the Smolny Press Service.
