Woman's drowning death investigated in Luquillo

Agents from the Puerto Rico Police Bureau are conducting a preliminary investigation into a drowning incident reported this Tuesday afternoon in the Las Pailas River, located on PR-983 in the municipality of Luquillo.

The woman is believed to have died after being caught in a flash flood that hit the body of water during yesterday's downpours.

A 21-year-old woman drowned around 3:34pm Tuesday at the Las Pailas River, located at PR-983, in Luquillo. Agents arrived at the scene after being alerted to the situation.
