Woman on bike hit, killed by pickup truck in Albemarle

A 50-year-old woman riding a bicycle was hit and killed by a vehicle in Albemarle on Friday night, according to police. It happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Love Street and Wiscassett Street. Police said Veronica Harvey was riding a bike southbound on Love Street when a pickup truck, driven by Edgar Petatan, was traveling east on Wiscassett Street.
