A heavy mix of snow and freezing rain in southern Saskatchewan has prompted city officials to respond in an effort to keep roads safe.

Dangerous winter driving conditions have already led to dozens of crashes across southern Saskatchewan, as freezing rain, snow and falling temperatures created changing road conditions. RCMP say they responded to 47 weather-related calls for service between midnight and 2 p.m. CST on Tuesday.
