Saturday morning snow slows traffic in Berks

A snowstorm Saturday morning is causing traffic issues throughout Berks County. PennDOT has lowered speed limits to 45 mph on Interstate 78 in Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties. Accidents have been reported throughout the area. Snowfall was expected to continue until midday with total accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Winter weather advisory issued for Berks and Lehigh counties for Saturday – potentially 3 inches of snow

A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 8:26 p.m. valid for Saturday between 1 a.m. and 4 p.m. for Berks and Lehigh counties.The weather service states to expect, "Total snow accumulations between 2 and 3 inches."
