- The region's two-century history began with plantings in 1829 and pioneers like Charles Fournier and Dr. Konstantin Frank, while eleven deep, glacial lakes shape the Finger Lakes AVA's cool-climate terroir.
- Through the NYSWP, the Finger Lakes AVA now encompasses more than 140 wineries, with 55 vineyards certified sustainable and over 30 wineries displaying the Trustmark.
- The award boosts exposure for Finger Lakes wineries and tourism, connecting visitors via the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, Seneca Lake Wine Trail, Keuka Lake Wine Trail, Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail, and supporting exports through the New York Wines Export Program from London to Tokyo.
