Weather France has placed 78 departments in orange alert on Wednesday against 43 this Tuesday. Maximum temperatures will be above 35 degrees. From the Centre-Val de Loire to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine, they will be between 38 and 40 °C. In Île-de-France they will be close to 38 °C.
Maximums between 36 °C and 39 °C are expected in the departments placed in orange vigilance. And the thermometer is expected to climb even further on Thursday.
