Americans don't expect Inflation Reduction Act to actually reduce inflation, poll finds

The U.S. is about to spend US$490 billion over 10 years on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving health care and reducing the federal deficit. The biggest source of revenue, projected by the Joint Committee on Taxation at about $222 billion, comes from a new 15% minimum corporate tax rate. Another $124 billion is expected as a result of stepped-up tax enforcement by the Internal Revenue Service.
