KANOSH, Utah, Aug. 8, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — The Widemouth 2 Fire, southwest of Kanosh, on Saturday hit 111,306 acres and 24% contained. Six structures have been destroyed in the lightning-sparked fire, which has been burning since July 27. Resources assigned include 632 personnel, nine crews, seven helicopters, 23 engines, nine dozers and nine water tenders. One helicopter assigned to the fire went down on Friday.
