Sherrone Moore faces felony home invasion and stalking charges after confronting a former staffer with knives following a two-year intimate relationship, Washtenaw County officials said.
- On Dec. 18, 2025 the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office released a booking photo of Sherrone Moore, former University of Michigan head coach, charged with home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering.
- Michigan fired Moore on Dec. 10 after a former staffer filed a report alleging an inappropriate relationship and the university conducted multiple investigations before his termination.
- According to transcripts and police accounts, Moore entered the staffer's apartment before Dec. 8, grabbed two butter knives, and threatened suicide before arrest.
- On Dec. 12 Moore was held on $25,000 cash/surety bond, arraigned and released, ordered to cease contact and wear a GPS tracking device; he must return on January 22.
