Taylor Swift Skips the Emmys for Arrowhead, Cheering on Hubby Travis Kelce Alongside Tom Cruise
Her nominated concert special was decided at the Creative Arts Emmys, leaving the televised ceremony free for a possible Chiefs season kickoff appearance.
On Monday, Taylor Swift missed the 2026 Emmy Awards to support her husband, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, during his season opener against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
Swift's nomination for 'Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show' in the Outstanding Variety Special category lost to 'The Muppet Show' at the Creative Arts Emmys earlier this month.
Though absent from the Peacock Theatre ceremony, Swift appeared in a meta 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' sketch where host Mariska Hargitay, in character as Olivia Benson, playfully discussed Swift's potential Emmy appearance.
The couple married at Madison Square Garden on July 3 and continue balancing high-profile careers; Swift was recently spotted in New York City before heading to the Missouri game.
Swift is garnering awards buzz for her song 'I Knew It, I Knew You' from the 'Toy Story 5' soundtrack and will compete in nine categories at the MTV VMAs on September 27.
