Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson Still Not Practicing with Ankle Injury
TreVeyon Henderson has not practiced since hurting his right ankle Aug. 24, and RotoWire listed him questionable for the opener.
New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson remained sidelined during Sunday's practice, casting doubt on his availability for Wednesday's season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
The injury occurred on August 24 when Henderson slipped during practice on the lower field, where footing issues affected multiple players that day.
Drafted 38th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, Henderson recorded 911 rushing yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie, serving as a big-play complement to Rhamondre Stevenson.
With the Patriots shallow at running back behind Stevenson, the team may elevate veterans Hassan Haskins or Lan Lairsson from the practice squad if Henderson cannot play.
Head coach Mike Vrabel offered no definitive timetable for Henderson's return, and New England has two final on-field opportunities before departing for Seattle.
