Claims of Bhutan Rejecting Indian E20 False, Petroleum Ministry Says "No Such Proposal for Exporting E20 Petrol"
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas stated that India's Oil Marketing Companies never proposed exporting E20 petrol to Bhutan, denying reports of Bhutan rejecting such imports.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting affirmed that E20 fuel underwent extensive testing by leading institutions and is aligned with automobile industry standards without voiding vehicle warranties.
Bhutan cited inadequate underground storage infrastructure and terrain challenges as reasons for reluctance to use ethanol-blended petrol, although no official export offer for E20 was made by Indian companies.
