KINSHASA - The head of the World Health Organization on Wednesday urged authorities to step up the Ebola response and better protect frontline health workers, during a visit to the DR Congo where a deadly outbreak is spreading fast.
The WHO Director-General visited the Democratic Republic of Congo on Wednesday. The country is facing its 17th Ebola outbreak. Since May 15, more than 3,800 cases have been recorded, including 1,751 deaths. The disease shows no signs of slowing down.
