Whitecaps suffer rare setback at home as surging St. Louis City nets 3-1 win
Tomas Totland scored and assisted as St. Louis City extended its unbeaten run to 13 games and earned its first away win over Vancouver.
St. Louis City beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, at BC Place, extending their unbeaten streak to 13 games.
Emmanuel Sabbi opened the scoring for Vancouver in the 3rd minute, but former Whitecaps striker Simon Becher equalized in the 23rd minute for St. Louis.
Tomas Totland and Conrad Wallem scored four minutes apart late in the first half, with Totland netting his goal in the 41st minute to seal the victory.
St. Louis moved into a third-place tie with LAFC and Dallas, sitting six points behind the Whitecaps in Major League Soccer standings.
The Whitecaps host the LA Galaxy on Wednesday, while St. Louis visits the Portland Timbers on the same day.
