White scores twice for Redblacks in 27-12 pre-season win over Alouettes
Ottawa Redblacks open their preseason with a dominant 27-12 victory over the Montreal Alouettes, showcasing strong offensive performance ahead of the regular season.
On Friday, the Ottawa Redblacks defeated the Montreal Alouettes 27-12 at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium in a C-F-L pre-season game, with Keelan White catching a pair of touchdown passes.
Ottawa quarterback Jake Maier connected with White for 12-yard and four-yard touchdown throws during the first half, while Paul Geelen kicked field goals to build a 17-4 halftime lead.
Redblacks receiver Cade McDonald had four catches for 73 yards, while Maier completed 10 of 14 pass attempts and Quarterback Bryson Barnes completed all eight of his throws.
Montreal Alouettes quarterback Dustin Crum completed 15 of 20 passes for 130 yards, but the Alouettes could not overcome Ottawa's early dominance and 17-4 halftime advantage.
CFL pre-season action continues Saturday with the Saskatchewan Roughriders hosting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, while The Edmonton Elks visit the Lions and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats host the Toronto Argonauts.
