[Nago] On March 26, a rare Okinawan rhododendron (Rosaceae) that bears flowers and fruit simultaneously was confirmed along a road in Teninya, Nago City. The fruit of the Okinawan rhododendron = March 26, Teninya, Nago City. The black fruit, about 1 cm in diameter, ripened around last autumn but remained on the plant without falling, and the white flowers, which resemble plum blossoms, bloomed around the end of March.
