On Saturday, the Minister of Energy made a working visit to the Iernut Thermal Power Plant, to analyze the stage of work at the new production capacity of 430 MW and the steps needed to put it into operation. The Minister submits that there are solid premises that by the end of semester I 2027, the Iernut Thermal Power Plant will be in commercial operation.
The Iernut Thermal Power Plant will be in commercial operation starting at the end of the first half of 2027, at the latest, while the synchronisation of the plant with the National Energy System (SEN) is expected to take place in the first quarter of next year, informs the Ministry of Energy in a press release.
