The Minister of Energy, Dumitru Chisăliţa, who participated, on Thursday, in Luxembourg, in the ministerial meeting of the Nuclear Alliance, organised in the margins of the Energy Council, announces that he has requested the support of the European States for the project to re-engineer Unit 1 of the CNE Cernavoda, in the context of the investigation initiated by the EC into Romania's intention to grant State aid in this regard.
The fate of a multi-billion euro energy development depends on the conditions under which the state can finance it and what EU rules allow. Romania is now asking its European partners for support, while Brussels is scrutinizing the planned financial construction.
