Five-Star Center Commits to Purdue
Hill averaged 12.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game last season as Purdue added its highest-rated recruit in program history.
On Friday, 7-foot center Isaiah Hill announced his commitment to Purdue. The Pike High School standout is a five-star prospect in the 2027 recruiting class and the highest-rated recruit in program history.
Coach Matt Painter prioritized Hill since August 2024, securing the commitment over offers from Indiana, Notre Dame, Louisville, and Kentucky. The Indianapolis prospect is the fifth top-ranked Indiana player to join the program since 2005.
Hill, coached by former NBA player and Pike graduate Jeff Teague, averaged 12.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 4.3 blocks per game during his junior season. He ranks as the 14th-highest recruit nationally according to 247 Sports.
Purdue has now secured the top-ranked in-state recruit in each of the last two cycles, joining 2026 point guard Luke Ertel. This momentum reflects the program's success attracting elite Indiana talent.
Hill will join 7-footers Daniel Jacobsen and Sinan Huan on Purdue's 2027-28 roster, creating a loaded frontcourt. This addition aligns with the program's history of signing five-star prospects like former Boilermaker Caleb Swanigan in 2015.
